We get it, with all the holiday shopping this time of year, it's so easy to lose sight of what truly matters during this time. Here's a reminder that it's all about the moments shared with your community and loved ones that truly make this season so special. So get the hot chocolate ready, grab those jackets, and attend one (or all!) of these beautiful tree and menorah lighting ceremonies happening around L.A. It's certainly the best way to get into the holiday spirit!

Calling all families! Manhattan Village is hosting their 33rd Annual Manhattan Beach Pier Lighting Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 5:00 to 9:00P.M. Along with the lighting, this family-friendly is set to be a festive one with an extended hours at their open house event that includes free warm hot chocolate, cookie stations, games, and all kinds of interactive touch tanks and marine exhibits for the whole family to enjoy. The event is free to the public, but donations of any amount to the aquarium are appreciated. Get the full schedule and details here!

Beverly Hills is bringing in the holiday season with David Foster and Katharine McPhee this Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 5-8:ooP.M. Their incredible event starts off with a spectacular lighting ceremony and live music from the iconic musical pair with classic holiday songs set to charm the crowd. ​The evening will also include festive photo opportunities and a grand arrival of Santa Claus. It doesn't stop there though! The celebrations will conclude with spectacular fireworks over Rodeo Drive.

Hermosa Beach is teaming up with their Holiday Open House event and Tree Lighting Ceremony to create a full weekend of festive family-fun activities. From November 18 through 20, 2022 families can have a holiday wonderland experience right on the beach. Activities include a tree lighting ceremony, a fair full of rides, and so much more. Join the City of Long Beach and neighbors in celebrating the holiday spirit as their 46 foot White Fir Christmas tree illuminates the Long Beach skyline. Guests will also enjoy a variety of live entertainment and activities. Full details here!

Can you hear the bells in the distance? Santa is coming the Promenade for their annual lighting of the official City of Santa Monica 24-foot-tall holiday tree. Join them for performances by local school groups, complimentary photos with Santa, and a gorgeous winter snow surprise. Full details here!

Performances and nightly menorah lightings will take place on the 1400 block of Third Street Promenade as the city celebrates Hanukkah.

The City of Inglewood hosts its Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at Inglewood City Hall. The evening features live entertainment, refreshments for all, and a special holiday visit by Santa. The program begins at 6pm at City Hall South Plaza.

When: Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 6:00P.M.

Enjoy festive holiday music, light refreshments, arts and crafts and holiday-themed family fun. Guests of the event are invited to bring a new, unwrapped toy or sports equipment for gifts to less fortunate boys or girls as part of the annual Spark of Love Toy Drive. Get all the details here!

On Tuesday, November 30, 2022 at 6:30 p.m., Union Station is summoning all the sights and sounds of the season with their Annual Tree Lighting under the stars and snow on the station's South Patio. Performances from the vintage voices of The Beverly Belles and L.A. favorites Weekend Celebrity, along with a "live" mural from eclectic artist Septerhed and an appearance by a special guest from the North Pole, will vault you into the holiday spirit.

When: November 30, 2022 at 6:30P.M.

Your little elves can make lots of merriment in DTLA with the official lighting of Los Angeles County's Christmas tree at the Music Center's 35,000-square foot outdoor plaza. Enjoy the sweet sounds of holiday favorites from local music artists and community groups, then gather around the magnificent 75-foot-tall tree to watch it twinkle with holiday lights. Join the grove for their Annual Tree Lighting ceremony and taping of CBS's the 24th Annual A Home for the Holidays hosted by the iconic Gloria Estefan as they officially kick off the holiday season. The Grove will also begin their annual Hanukkah celebration near the Fountain on December 18, 2022 through December 26, 2022

From November 17 through January 2, 18 million hues of lights will twinkle in time to music at The Bloc's 4th annual Sparkle DTLA display. You can wander through multiple glowing installations any time of day, but they’ll only be synchronized to festive tunes at the beginning of the hour from 5 to 9 p.m. The best part is, it's all completely free and everyone is welcome (that includes your furry friends).
